Poem 195 of 230: MUSING ON WIMBLEDON - SUMMER 2002
2001 got somewhat cheeky,
So, on my T.V., I was pleased to see
Old-fashioned etiquette about the net…
But oh! to get among the coaching set.
Thus, here is a technique that I’d teach:
Two-hands each side - either-off when can’t reach.
And, as for thoughts on pay, I do not say
“Amateur play” but “spread-out the outlay.”
